Power Ahead Colorado Rebate
Power Ahead Colorado offers $1,500 for a qualifying ENERGY STAR cold-climate air-source heat pump. It is for existing-building retrofits, not new construction. A verified Power Ahead contractor must submit the project and obtain preapproval before work begins.
Who may qualify
- The project must retrofit an existing building in a participating DRCOG municipality or county; new construction is not eligible.
- The heat pump must be ENERGY STAR cold-climate air-source equipment purchased and installed on or after June 29, 2026, and appear on the Qualified Products List or meet program efficiency requirements.
- A verified Power Ahead contractor must submit the project and receive preapproval before work. Other eligible incentives may be combined subject to program rules.
How it Works
- Check the participating-area and equipment requirements with the program and a verified Power Ahead contractor.
- Have the contractor submit the project and obtain program preapproval before any work begins.
- After purchase, installation, and final documentation, the $1,500 incentive is paid to the homeowner or contractor.
